A few weekends ago I ran a photo workshop with Matthew Jones, one of Australia’s top wildlife photographers, and Rob Blakers, my friend and business partner at Wild Island.

We spent 3 days roaming the Tasman and Forestier Peninsula in Tasmania photographing birds, wombats, seals and even dolphins. The weather was challenging at times but we certainly made the most of it.

Matthew’s intimate knowledge of wildlife behaviors as well as a very skillful photographic technique made this workshop a fantastic experience. I have always had a soft spot for wildlife photography but spending 3 days along side Matthew improved my understanding and technique substantially.
